“Together we will achieve more”

The field of geomatics has undergone major changes in recent years, which significantly affect its position in society as well as the role of surveyors in the modern construction industry. The new Building Act, the digital technical map, the digitization of construction management, but also the establishment of the Czech Chamber of Surveyors — all these are important milestones that confirm the growing importance of our profession.

Following these changes, we decided to organize, in cooperation with partners from Slovakia, the EUROPEAN GEOMATICS DAYS in order to offer a platform for discussion for experts, representatives of public administration and academia. Our aim is not only to share current knowledge and good practices within Europe, but above all to strengthen the prestige of the field of geomatics — both within the professional community and in the eyes of the general public, especially the parents of future students.

Under the motto “Together we achieve more” we want to show that geomatics is a key tool for modern planning, construction and management of the territory. We want to connect experts across Europe, inspire each other and open a discussion about the future of geomatics.
